This addition to the Fargo Civic Auditorium tied the Auditorium together with two other important civic buildings—City Hall and Centennial Hall—on the Civic campus. The design created a spacious and inviting new lobby and a weather-sheltered circulation between the three buildings, providing a number of casual gathering spaces, as well as improving access and communication between all functions in the complex.
Included in the program were additional concessions, toilets and locker rooms. On the second floor a new City Commission Room and expanded City Hall office space greatly improve functionality and working space for City employees and office holders. The addition included a new elevator and stair systems and an extension of the skyway.
