YMCA Pool

Location: Fargo, ND

The YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties has been a part of the downtown Fargo community since 1886, building its current facility in 1961. The existing natatorium at the Fercho YMCA had low ceilings, sterile lighting, dated finishes, no windows, and an existing four-lane lap pool that was insufficient for the community’s needs.

The YMCA wanted to add a new six-lane lap swimming pool, a new zero-entry pool for kids, and replace the existing warm-water pool to serve the community better today. The new aquatic center addition will better serve youth and adults, including local swim teams and disabled and handicapped swimmers.
