The Sanford Orthopedics & Sports Medicine facility is the result of a $30 million remodeling project at the Sanford South University campus and is the region’s first & only stand-alone orthopedics and sports medicine hospital and clinic.  The ultimate goal was to provide a better patient experience that allows patients to receive all orthopedics-related care in one place. 

The design allows better efficiency for patients and staff by locating imaging, evaluations, surgery, therapy, clinics and hospital all in the same building compared to traveling to multiple locations.  The 5-year multi-phase project remodeled over 96,000 square feet and included an architectural facelift including a new east-facing front entrance on 11th Street South that incorporates Sanford’s signature “Collegiate Gothic” look.
